How do I work my clients?

My practice revolves around us building a therapeutic relationship so that you feel able to speak freely in a non-judgmental environment – we’ll be a team, together.

My aims are to give you the space and time to explore your emotions and any associated challenges while working together to achieve positive change.

It is important for me to actively listen and hear the sense of emotions that you are feeling so that we can name them and reflect on where they have come from or how you have found yourself where you are.

I offer the opportunity to think about your challenges or specific experiences, whether they feel traumatic or otherwise, in a different way so that we can understand how you can move forward.

I am based in Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire, and in the last four years, I have completed levels 1-4 of the BACP-approved pathway towards a Diploma In Therapeutic Counselling; this has given me a wealth of theoretical knowledge as well as the most up-to-date training and experience.

What I can help with?

Trauma from specific issues or challenges, career/business problems, addiction and addiction-related behaviours, anxiety, low mood, relationship/friendship concerns, disorganised/dysfunctional thoughts, overwhelm, loneliness, loss and bereavement.

One of my specific interests is working with people looking to overcome problems that might emerge from early involvement in criminality or areas within these spectrums.

I offer short-term therapy to adults over 16 years of age for a period of sixteen weekly sessions; this can be extended to twenty-four sessions by mutual choice.
Our work can take place face-to-face or online.
